Breaking News - CDFC Premiership Player Moss to become an Adelaide Striker

By Peter Argent
Central  District 2008 premiership player James Moss has been given another chance at elite level sport.
Along with Mount Gambier teenager, Matt Allen the former Willaston junior footballer and  Bulldogs talent has won a place on the SA Strikers list in the Big Bash T20 2013-14 competition.
A elite junior cricketer, predominately as a wicketkeeper-batsman Moss has played in the state junior programs at under 15, 17s and 19s level, along with SACA club, Northern Districts.
He is fresh from an aggressive 96 with the Stansbury Cricket Club on the Yorke Peninsula(YP), where he has been involved in four premierships, for a club that has won the last 10 titles in the Southern YP competition.
Moss is in a unique situation where he was on an AFL list, picked as a rookie at the end of the 2007 season, selected out of the clubs country zone the Barossa, Light and Gawler competition when playing Senior Colts with the Willaston Donnybrooks.
The following season he was a member of the Bulldogs league flag against Glenelg, but a degenerative hip complaint curtailed any football aspirations.
He played very little football in 2009 and was delisted at the end of the year.
In 2012 he was a member of the CMS Crows premiership on the Yorke Peninsula, kicking 12 goals in a man of the match performance on Grand Final day.
During our past Australian winter he returned to England and played “league” cricket.
Moss was also on the Fox 8 program – “Cricket Superstar” where he finished third.
