The Dogs have played the Bloods on 11 occasions in the minor round since 2012, with Westies holding a 7 wins to 4 advantage. The last game between the 2 sides was the 2015 Preliminary Final which saw Westies prevail by 53 points on their way to the ultimate success the following week.

The Bloods are the only side to have exceeded a 100 point score in the encounters since 2012, doing so on 2 occasions (Round 20 2012 and Round 1 2013).

The largest winning margin in the games between the sides was 64 points when West prevailed 98 to 34 in round 5 2014.
