Club Mourns passing of Brian Kemp

The Central District Football Club is saddened by the passing of Past Player BRIAN KEMP on Wednesday 27th January, Aged 75.

Brian joined the Club in 1963 when the Club was in the “Second Eighteens” Competition, and in that year, he won the Best & Fairest Award which was won by 1 vote over Gary Window in the same year that Gary won the Reserves Magarey Medal.
He was recruited from the country town of Rhynie.

League: 1964 - 1967
1964 Vice Captain in our first ever League side in 1964 versus West Torrens at Thebarton Oval.
Runner Up Best & Fairest.
Awarded Club Best Ruckman.
5 Magarey Medal Votes.
1965 Played in the team that recorded the 1st winning game in Senior League Football (24th April 1965).
3 Magarey Medal Votes.
Brian Played 56 League games & kicked 12 goals
The Club extends its sincere sympathy to Brian’s wife Maureen and all of his family.
