The Barossa Light and Gawler Football Association genuinely believe junior coaching is one of the most important roles at any football club.
Australian Rules Football is an amazing game, which is enjoyed by millions of people. It is fast, exciting, has elements of danger and risk as well as being unpredictable and challenging. The skills required to play this great game are varied and at times difficult, however the game is underpinned by a small a number of key skills, including Kicking, Marking and Handballing.
This Barossa Light and Gawler Junior Coaches guide will look at these key skills as well as review coaches’ motivations, player motivations, working with parents, communication techniques and your role as a coach.
