2019 League Leaders Announced

The 2019 Senior Leaders were announced to the playing group prior to training on Tuesday.

They are:-

 

Captain – Trent Goodrem

Trent was appointed as Co-Captain with Paul Thomas in 2015, and has been the sole captain since 2016.

Since joining the Club from the East Coast Eagles in the Sydney Football League in 2007 at age 19, Trent has had a marvelous career as 2019 sees him enter his 13th year with the Club.

A three time Premiership Player (2008, 2009 & 2010), Jack Oatey Medallist (Best Player, 2009 Grand Final), dual winner of the Daniel Hulm Memorial Trophy (The Club’s Most Courageous Player), CDFC Playing Life Membership in 2017 and 2018 Awarded SANFL Playing Life Membership, Trent is well respected by players and supporters and we will continue to see his leadership qualities in 2019.

 

Vice Captain – Jarrod Schiller

Jarrod was recruited from the Nuriootpa Football Club and is a product of our Under Age system.

Making his League debut in 2010, Jarrod has now played 152 League games and is well respected for the tough manner in which he plays the game.

Club Best & Fairest in 2014, three time winner of the Daniel Hulm Memorial Trophy (The Club’s Most Courageous Player), recipient of the 2011 SANFL Powerade Star Search Award and State Representative in 2014, Jarrod will lead by example.

 

Deputy Vice Captain – Travis Schiller

2019 will see Travis hold down a Senior Leader’s position for the first time.

Like his brother Jarrod, he was recruited from Nuriootpa Football Club and is a product of our Under Age system.

Making his League debut in 2014, Travis has now played 95 League games and has had an impressive career to date.

 

  • 2014 SANFL Powerade Star Search Award Winner.
  • Two time Best & Fairest (2015 & 2018).
  • Represented South Australia on two occasions (2016 & 2018).
  • 2018 Runner Up Magarey Medallist.

 

Travis is very much looking forward to being part of the leadership group.
