Central District Football Club Player Update

The Central District Football Club would like to congratulate and thank Nick Gillard & Brendan Dew on their Service to our Club.

Nick Gillard

Nick came to the Club in 2015 at the age of 21 from Renmark. He immediately bought into the Club culture and became a very popular member of the team.

The left foot forward-wingman had a few injury problems over the journey, in particular several shoulder issues which restricted him to 48 League games.

Nick has decided that his body can no longer stand the rigours of League football and will play community football.

We wish Nick and fiancé Sophie all the best and I am sure he will maintain a connection with the Club.

Brendan Dew

Brendan has decided to pursue his football at community level after 59 League games with the Club. ‘Dewey” is a product of our junior programme commencing in 2012 in Under 16s.

Brendan played 59 League games but was unfortunately frustrated with injury during that period.

The following are some of Brendan’s highlights:-

2013                       Club Under 16s Captain and State Representative

2014                       Under 18s Best & Fairest

SANFL Under 18s MVP Award

2015                       League Debut

2016                       League 6th Best & Fairest

2020                       Reserves Best & Fairest

Brendan has been a great servant to the Club and a very popular member of the group.

We wish Brendan well in his future endeavours.
