Tribute to Holdens
This Saturday is the Club’s final League match for the season and 2020 is the final year of Holden’s Sponsorship after a 32 year Partnership.
As a Major Sponsor, this has seen Holden as the longest serving Major Sponsor of a Club in the SANFL.
The Club will be auctioning a unique ‘Holden Commodore Bonnet’ at Saturday’s President Function or you can ring or email the Club to make a bid, there will be a parade of approximately 20 Holden motor cars which have been produced over their journey.
The Club is indebted to Holden for their 32 years of support, whilst the Northern Community is forever grateful for their involvement at Elizabeth. We would encourage any Holden enthusiast or past employee to wear to the game, something signifying Holden’s.
Tribute to 2 Premiership Players
This Saturday will see two Premiership Players compete in their final game with the Dogs as they retire from League Football.
Trent Goodrem – Kyle Jenner
These two players have been fantastic contributors and role models for the Club, and they both deserve a good crowd in attendance for their farewell.
NO After Match Presentations
Unfortunately, the Club will not be conducting after match presentations following the game.
A large booking in Grand Central was made prior to the alterations to the 2020 Football Season due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
With restrictions to the number of people who can attend Grand Central, it does not allow room for us to conduct after match presentations.
The Club sincerely apologises to all who attend after match presentations.
X Convenience Oval Restrictions
At X Convenience Oval Home Matches, including this Saturday, there is to be NO CONSUMPTION of alcohol whilst standing up. This means, if you are watching the match and want to drink alcohol, then you MUST BE SEATED.
If you want to have a drink at the football, then we encourage you to bring your own deck chair or similar seat, or just sit down on the terracing or ground and enjoy a great game of footy.
These new restrictions will be closely monitored by Security and SAPOL, but also by our supporters who want football to continue in 2020.
The alternative plan would be to close all alcohol outlets around the ground, however, we want to give our great supporters the opportunity to work with us this Saturday so we can maintain alcohol sales at future games. If we fail and do not comply, then removing alcohol sales will be forced upon us.
Whilst we appreciate these new restrictions may be frustrating for some, they are necessary to keep our community safe and healthy.
Grand Central Restrictions
Due to current COVID restrictions
and therefore applying to the Home Match on Saturday, there will be NO drinking alcohol or soft drinks inside Grand Central whilst standing. You MUST be seated at a table. This will impact the number of patrons allowed in each individual room, so we need your co-operation and understanding. Due to the function room being booked with a large booking that was made prior to the alteration to the 2020 football season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There will be greatly reduced seating post match.
If there is no room to sit at a table with your drink, then please do not order a drink at the bar until there is room available.
The Gaming Room is still open with 28 machines operating, which patrons MUST also be seated at only.
