Greg Edwards Returning Home

It is with a level of excitement that I can announce that former Central District player and current CEO of the North Adelaide Football Club Greg Edwards will be returning to Central District to take over the Role of CEO from the Retiring Kris Grant.

Greg played 43 games with Central District and kicked 162 goals including 104 goals in the 1982 season before Greg’s career was cut short by a serious eye injury.

Greg had a successful commercial career in the wine industry before taking on the role of CEO of the Port Adelaide Magpies. Greg has spent the past 11 years as CEO of the North Adelaide Football Club and is highly respected amongst the SA Football Community. Greg is very keen to come back and work where it all started and we are extremely excited to have someone of Greg’s caliber come in to lead our football club into the future.
Greg will continue on at North Adelaide in the short term to allow North Adelaide an opportunity to find his replacement and then Greg will work with Kris to transition into the role.

We welcome Greg, his wife Tara and family back to Central District and again thank Kris for his 44 years service and his total support to bring in and transition Greg into the role as CEO.
