Club News

Monday, 23rd March 2020 was the day the Central District Football Club and Grand Central was forced into lockdown due to the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

To that point, membership income was down around 10% on the same time last year.

The Club is deeply indebted to those members who have continued their loyalty and devotion.

Since lockdown, the Club has been heartened and comforted by many people who have renewed their membership or purchased home-match and season tickets being fully aware of the uncertainty of the 2020 football season.

To all of those people, the Board of Directors would convey their absolute appreciation and gratitude and the realization that the Club means so much to many people.

We have also been delighted with a few people who have not been members before but have decided to join in an effort to assist.

Membership is the backbone of a Club and a means to remain engaged and involved. If you are yet to become a member, we would love you to do so. Come and see Kirsty at our office between 9:00am and 5:30pm weekdays or join up online –

Strong membership will enable the Club at the end of this terrible situation to bounce back into operation with optimism and preparedness when we are able to play football again – and this will happen – we want to be ready and leading the charge.

The Club through the Board of Directors is INDEBTED to our members.
