On Saturday 27th April, the Central District Football Club – along with our Charity Partner, Novita Children’s Services – celebrates Novita Charity Day.
The relationship between Central District Football Club and Novita began in 2009, and Central District players have proudly worn a ‘Novita Star’ logo on their playing shorts throughout that time. Current Captain Trent Goodrem has taken on the role as a Novita Ambassador.
Central District has hosted a dedicated ‘Novita Home Game’ at a home game annually since 2011.
The Round 5 match will be the 9th Novita Home Game and is a great opportunity to raise awareness of Novita and the services it provides, as well as raising funds to support it in continuing to deliver those services to so many young South Australians living with disability and special needs.
Centrals have helped raise almost $60,000 for Novita over the last eight seasons thanks to the generous support of Club partners, members and supporters. Their ongoing commitment to the broader community and to Novita in particular, is outstanding.
Novita Children’s Services provides child development, rehabilitation and disability services to more than 3000 young people, as well as support for their families and carers, throughout South Australia.
Novita has been assisting children living with disabilities and other special needs for over 75 years, to develop their potential every day.
For the Round 5 match against Adelaide, the Central District League side will be wearing a special one of a kind Novita guernsey.
Following the game, the guernseys will be auctioned online. The auction will close on Friday 3rd May. All proceeds go to Novita!
The link to the online auction will be posted on the Club website at the end of the League match on Saturday 27th April.
