SANFLW Coach Reappointed

The Central District Football Club is pleased to announce the reappointment of SANFLW League Coach, Ben Hunt.

Hunt led the Women’s team to a record 5 wins in season 2022, impressively knocking off Grand Finalists Sturt in Round 6, who were undefeated prior to their encounter with Centrals.

A narrow 1-point loss to Premiers North Adelaide in Round 10 solidified Hunt’s belief that our playing group is capable of competing with any team.

Hunt expressed gratitude after accepting his contract for the 2023 Season.

“I am really grateful to the Board and to CEO Greg Edwards for backing me and giving me the opportunity to coach at this level for a second year. I am confident that we can improve in 2023 given the current group of elite players and the emerging talent in our junior program.”

CEO, Greg Edwards congratulated Hunt on his reappointment.

“We are confident that Ben is the coach to take our Women’s team to the next level and have us playing finals in 2023,” Edwards stated.

Ben has put in place the building blocks for an exciting 2022 Season and is confident he can lead the team to their first finals berth. He will work closely with Female Football Manager, Carrie-Anne Mewett, to plan a successful 2023 campaign.
